Vincent House, like
all ICCD recovery through work partnerships, rebuilds lives by focusing on wellness and
abilities rather illness. In a recovery through work
partnership, participants
are referred to as members, not patients. Members and a
limited staff work side-by-side to operate every aspect of the
program.
Membership is
voluntary and considered lifetime. The recovery through work
partnership is a place where members are treated with dignity and
respect. Their participation is needed and valued by the program
community in order to maintain the daily operations. Membership is open to
anyone that seeks recovery from schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression
or other severe and persistent mental illnesses.
All work in the recovery through work
partnership is real and
meaningful - duties and tasks are intended to build
self-esteem and self-worth.
